First LSST:UK Galaxies Workshop to be held in July, in Oxford

A kick-off meeting to bring the UK and the broader LSST Galaxies communities together will take place in Oxford on 22-23 July 2016

This meeting will bring the UK and the broader LSST Galaxies communities together for the first time since our buy-in to the project. The workshop will create links between the two communities and identify areas where UK researchers can take leadership in LSST Galaxies science. It is likely that at least some of the future direction of the LSST:UK Galaxies effort will be shaped at this meeting and I encourage you to attend if you are interested in actively using LSST.

The website for the meeting is here: https://lsstgalaxies2016.wordpress.com/

Registration is now open. Please encourage your PhD students and postdocs to attend. Depending on the outcome of pending funding applications, it might be possible to waive all or most of the registration fee (likely to be around £50) for students and reduce it for others.

LSST:UK has some limited funding available to cover subsistence and travel to LSST-related meetings for UK delegates. If you would like to apply for support please use this form (I recommend applying as soon as possible, and not later than the end of May):
